World Book Day Celebrations

In celebration of World Book Day, the Social Care Exchange opened it’s doors to individuals from Home From Home Care - to come along and join our 'Bookmark Making' workshop.

The Actualised Living Room was filled with tables set up with paint, pompoms, glue sticks and glitter ready for everyone to take part and get creative!

There was a great atmosphere, with movies playing on a projector and lots of staff helping the individuals to make their own personal bookmark. Everyone who took part was excited to show off their creations and enjoyed receiving a special certificate to take home.

For some of the individuals, it was their first time visiting the Social Care Exchange. Sessions like the 'Bookmark Making' workshop enable the office staff, support staff and the individuals to all come together and celebrate achievements.

Danielle Holman, Executive Co-ordinator, comments “It was amazing to see everyone express their individualism through creative activities as well as meeting and interacting with new people.”
