Booking is now open for our Spring Volunteering Expo, taking place at the Social Care Exchange on Saturday 9th March from 10am-2pm.
Caring responsibilities can lead to financial difficulties – having to give up work to care for a loved one and managing on benefits. It can also prove challenging getting support to adapt your home, or attaining support for your child at school or college, as well as understanding and claiming for benefits you may be entitled to.
Many parents experience behaviours that challenge from their children, but for parents of a child with a learning disability this can be much more complex – particularly as a child grows older. The Social Care Exchange is hosting an informal community event on Monday 23rd April, for anyone impacted by someone with learning disabilities or special education needs.

After the success of our first event we are looking forward to opening our doors to the community again. Everyone welcome, pop in for a coffee and a chat between 6-7pm on 28th March, at the Social Care Exchange, just off Doddington Road.
The Social Care Exchange was delighted to host the first LN6 Networking meeting of 2018 last week. The event provided a fantastic opportunity for local business people to come together, make contacts and discuss partnership opportunities.
