Throughout the week, hundreds of events and celebrations take place across the country, saying thank you to volunteers and recognising their invaluable and diverse contribution to the UK.
Volunteering is incredibly fulfilling and can be great for sharing or developing your skills. As well as helping others, volunteering has been shown to improve volunteers' wellbeing too. To find out how you can get involved and start volunteering, look up your local volunteer event or centre here.
The Social Care Exchange will also be holding a Volunteering Expo on 29th September, 10am-2pm, offering a great opportunity to learn more about regional volunteering opportunities and how you can give back.
The event will have a number of stands, so you can meet different organisations and learn more about the important work they do and how youcan get involved.
