Return to work advice at the Volunteering Expo

We are delighted to announce we will be joined by Karen Garlant, Employment Project Coordinator from Carers FIRST, for the first of our workshops taking place throughout the Volunteer Expo, on 29th September.

Find out how to use volunteering to build up experience and confidence, when returning to work whilst or after caring for a loved one, in this insightful 30-minute session.

3 in 5 people will be carers at some point. Carers FIRST supports people who look after a relative or friend who could not manage without their help. Today, this inspirational charity supports over 23,500 carers aged 5-105 and their families, providing emotional and practical support, advice, information and guidance.

During the friendly 30-minute session you will have a chance to learn more about the ins and outs of getting back into employment – giving practical advice about how to go about the process and how you can overcome barriers. There will also be a question and answer session, giving you the opportunity to get advice on the specific queries you have.

Register now to join the talk here.
