The Mayor of Lincoln is to open the Social Care Exchange

The Mayor of Lincoln Councillor Yvonne Bodger will officially open the doors to the Social Care Exchange as local businesses, charity groups and members of the community involved in the care sector will all be welcomed for a first look at the centre.

The launch event on November 30th is set to showcase how the Social Care Exchange aims to become a hub for social care, forging links between commerce and the community in order to improve social care provision throughout Lincolnshire.

With these bold social objectives in mind, it’s a great honour that the 810th Mayor of Lincoln will be “cutting the ribbon” as she herself has had an inspiring career in volunteering and public service.

Since moving to Lincoln in 1966, the councillor has been involved as a volunteer in hospitals, schools and playgroups, as a director of the YMCA and also as a councillor for the City of Lincoln Council and Lincolnshire County Council.

Guests at the launch will have the opportunity to tour the creative breakout spaces, interactive meeting and conferencing facilities, networking areas, training rooms, serviced offices and to meet staff and network with like-minded businesses.
