Join us for Dementia Action Week

On Monday 21st May, 6pm-7pm, the Social Care Exchange will be hosting an informal community event open to anyone who has a loved one affected by dementia.

This year’s Dementia Action Week takes place on 21st-27th May promoted by the Alzheimer’s Society. Events are being held across the country with people asked to come together to take small actions that will make a huge difference.

Someone develops dementia every three minutes in the UK but for people living with dementia and their loved ones, it can feel very lonely. The Alzheimer’s Society are campaigning for change, aiming to create a dementia friendly UK – where everyone with dementia is included and supported to live the life they want. Events are being held across the country, find an event near you.

The Social Care Exchange community events offer a relaxed forum to talk to others going through similar experiences and gain support and advice from specialists. Pop in for a coffee and a chat from 6pm-7pm on Monday 21st May, we may not have all the answers but we are here to help and support.
