Carer’s Week Community Event

Our recent Carer’s Week Community Exchange event proved a great opportunity for regional carers to meet up and get advice on local support available.

During the event, specialist health and social care recruiters HFHC Midlands were on hand to discuss working in care, highlighting the flexible roles available.  HFHC Midlands support worker Calum Mcleod also gave an insightful talk about his career in care -  going from a full-time carer of a family member to becoming a successful support worker and now trainee nurse.

Also present were Home From Home Care Recruitment Consultants, who talked through career development opportunities, giving an insight into working hours and the recruitment process.

There was also the opportunity to gain invaluable training advice, with Learning and Development Partners David Edgar and Sue Marshall giving an overview on training opportunities, such as Health and Safety and Safehold and Breakaway.

This relaxed, informative evening at the Social Care Exchange not only offered attendees the opportunity to network and gain support, but also be interviewed for support roles available.

Our Community Exchange series continues on 4th July from 6pm-7pm, during Health Information Week – come and meet other healthcare specialists, gain information and support and find out about healthcare Jobs on offer.
