Transition event for parents and carers - what happens after education?

Transition is such a daunting time, especially for parents of children with special needs and/or learning disabilities when faced with the unknown of what happens after education. The Social Care Exchange's 'Next Steps - Post 16 Transition Event' is aimed at parents, carers and professionals to come and talk to different services and providers and discuss the various options in adult services, as well as having the opportunity to talk and share first hand experiences about the move from children's to adult services. There will be information stands as well as workshops covering Transition Q & A's, Mental Capacity Act and Introduction to Positive Behaviour Support.

You are welcome to drop in and network with different organisations about your child's future. If you are interested in any of the workshops please register your interest to events@socialcare.exchange as spaces are limited.
